Transport for NSW implements technology-led solutions for improving transport services. Assume
you are the manager of Transport for NSW’s Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system project.
The ATP system project will involve installing technology on the trains and the tracks. It will
include installing electronic transponders in the rail corridor between existing trackside
infrastructure to monitor train speeds. The project will also involve installing equipment on
suburban and intercity trains, which provides speed monitoring and braking information to
the driver.
